Yalexa Vicente, Clinical Counseling Graduate Level Intern

Yalexa is a thoughtful and open-minded graduate-level counseling intern who approaches her work with genuine empathy and curiosity. She is passionate about getting to know clients beyond the surface and often works from a psychodynamic perspective to better understand how early experiences, family dynamics, and personal history shape who they are today. With a strong commitment to supporting those who have felt overlooked or misunderstood, Yalexa strives to create a space where clients feel comfortable, accepted, and safe to speak openly without fear of judgment. She values building trust and meeting clients where they are in their healing journey. Yalexa especially enjoys working with young adults and supports them in developing stronger communication skills, and effective coping strategies. She feels honored to walk alongside clients as they work toward their therapeutic goals and personal growth.
