Maye is a skilled, compassionate, empathetic, bilingual (Spanish), and solutions-oriented licensed mental health counselor dedicated to maximizing an individual’s potential. Using her expertise in behavioral and positive psychology, she coaches and counsels Individuals on the practical ways to achieve and maintain transformation, expansion, and consistent growth. Maye is an effective motivator and communicator with an inherent ability to manage all types of personalities, diffuse stressful situations, and proactively resolve issues. Maye is known for her innate ability to establish rapport quickly, build trust, and relate to individuals on all levels.
EDUCATION & EXPERTISE
Maye received a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Trinity International University and a Bachelor’s in Science from Florida Atlantic University. She has extensive experience working with children and adolescents facing severe emotional and behavioral challenges, including roles in Florida school districts and at the Denver Children’s Advocacy Center as an outpatient therapist.
She specializes in Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health and is a member of the Florida Infant Mental Health Association. Maye is certified in Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), supporting young children and families impacted by trauma. She has worked with children ages 0–18 who have experienced abuse or other traumatic events and has also contributed to child abuse prevention programs, helping educate schools and support families as a liaison specialist.

When Maye isn’t changing lives, you can find her enjoying life as a wife and mother of two young children in Oakland, FL. She loves Rosè, friendship, family, and laughter… lots and lots of laughter. Maye uses her positive and empathetic personality to connect with children, individuals, and couples. Maye’s innate ability to connect arises from her own experience with her divorce, postpartum depression and anxiety, and poor self-esteem. Throughout these challenges, Maye has learned how to embrace the process and heal. Therefore, obtaining and maintaining healthy relationships and self-confidence! She also shares her personal experience with the rewarding struggles of parenting and the challenges of balancing a healthy life among career, motherhood, and family.
