Alyssa is dedicated and driven to hold space for her clients to feel comfortable talking about and processing their thoughts and emotions without feeling pressure or judgment. She has spent years working with children on the autism spectrum and with developmental delays. She is passionate about using a personalized approach in counseling with individuals, kids, teens, couples, and families to help them achieve their goals in therapy and learn communication, coping, and self-care skills.
Education & expertise
Alyssa is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in the state of Florida. She is trained in play therapy and draws from principles of marriage and family therapy to support individuals, couples, and families. Her work centers on children, adolescents, and young adults, with a particular focus on supporting women’s mental health, strengthening family and parent-child relationships, and helping clients navigate anxiety, emotional regulation, behavioral challenges, and life transitions. She uses developmentally appropriate, skills-based approaches, incorporating cognitive-behavioral therapy (CT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to promote emotional growth and overall well-being.

Alyssa is an EcuaRican woman who came to Florida with her family from Queens, NY, as a child; she enjoys reading and playing with her dogs, Cotto and Ella. Clients often appreciate Alyssa’s ability to truly listen and meet them where they are, while also providing meaningful guidance and skills they can apply outside of sessions. She values authenticity, compassion, and growth, and believes that every individual has the capacity for healing and change when they feel supported and understood.
