Amber Smith, Clinical Counseling Graduate Level Intern| Amber is a graduate level intern with a strong commitment to promoting mental health and well-being through compassionate, person-centered care grounded in evidence-based practices. With a strong foundation in psychological theory and counseling techniques, she approaches counseling with empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a belief in the resilience of every individual. As a parent of three, Amber understands firsthand the complexities of balancing personal needs with family and life responsibilities. This perspective shapes her work, especially with individuals managing parenting stress, relationship dynamics, and identity development. Amber strives to create a safe, supportive space where individuals feel heard, respected, and empowered while navigating through life’s complex challenges. Amber is a Florida native, a dedicated mom, and an active PTA member. She enjoys spending her free time with her family which she says grounds her and continually inspires her work.

EDUCATION AND EXPERTISE

Amber is currently completing her practicum and internship as part of her master’s degree in counseling psychology from Florida International University with concentrations in crisis and trauma.
